Custom software for test benches
We develop the software that controls the instruments in your lab, built for your equipment, your tests and the way your team works.
Talk to us about your benchWhat we do
In many labs each instrument is run from its own program, long tests depend on someone keeping an eye on them, and the data ends up scattered across files that have to be put together by hand.
We write the software that brings all of that together. Depending on what each bench needs, it can include:
- control of every instrument from the computer, over USB, Ethernet, serial or GPIB;
- automation of the tests you run by hand today;
- logging the data from every instrument in one place;
- alerts when something goes out of range;
- and the reports you need at the end.
It is not a generic package you have to adapt: it is built for your bench, and if an instrument changes tomorrow, the software changes with it.
Experience
We have worked on the software for the camera test bench of PLATO, the European Space Agency mission that will search for Earth-like planets.
There we developed the drivers for the light source and the filter wheel, and worked with the rest of the bench: shutter, power meter, temperature controllers, data acquisition and positioning.
Instruments we have worked with
If yours is not on the list but has a programming manual, it can be integrated just the same.
How we work
First we go through the bench and the tests with you. Then we send you a proposal covering what will be built, the timeline and the price. We develop it, test it in your lab with the real instruments and show your team how to use it. And we are still there for whatever you need afterwards.
Tell us about your test bench
Which instruments you have, which tests you run and what you would like the software to do. From there we will tell you how we would approach it.
